Responsibilities
This position leads a team accountable for HR Information Systems, data management, call center and policy & compliance.   The position  is responsible  for leading and managing the HRIS needs of the organization to ensure that our HR Information Systems and related services support Williams people and business strategies. The position also serves as a partner to other centers of expertise to find core HRMS solutions in support of business needs and may play a lead role in large business projects such as  system implementations, upgrades, and acquisitions or divestitures.

The key activities related to the main area of responsibility include but are not limited to:

  • Monitors trends in HR information systems, data management, call center service, and policy & compliance.
  • Act as a focal point for core HR information system and data management expertise (Peoplesoft).
  • Develops tactics and solutions aligned with customer needs for human resource management systems and data management.
  • Develops and implements process improvement initiatives. 
  • Monitors work group performance through scorecards and metrics.
  • Communicates and coordinates with stakeholders relative to process implementation requirements as well as new/revised processes.
  • Coaches and develops staff by providing formal / informal feedback and on-the-job opportunities.
  • Consult with vendors, effectively manage vendors, and monitor vendor performance.
  • Provide guidance & focus for team members on priorities and activities.
  • Develop staff in current roles and support career development of staff.

Qualifications 
The fully functioning and successful candidate is expected to possess the following technical qualifications, education and experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in HR systems or related area.
  • Peoplesoft experience preferred.
  • Experience in leading large systems-oriented projects (e.g. upgrades, implementations, etc.).
  • Leadership experience is an asset.

The position will be compensated at a level commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience.
 
Education Level - Bachelor's Level Degree 
Relocation Information - Williams Corporation will not pay relocation costs for this position. 
Travel Percentage - Less than 25 % 
Fair Labor Standards Act - FLSA exempt no overtime pay is due.

THE POSITION REQUIRES:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, human resources or related field or has commensurate work related knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with and thorough knowledge of employee benefit plans, policies and procedures.
  • Experience interacting, advising, and communicating effectively.
  • Job related experience and knowledge of reviewing and interpreting governmental regulations,  legal opinions, contracts and other benefit related documents.
  • Data management experience.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate work of others.
  • Proficient MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint ( Advanced knowledge level preferred).
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES WILL BE TO:

  • Solicit bids to procure a variety of employee benefits contracts and/or renewals.
  • Perform price/cost analysis to evaluate bid responsiveness, vendor services and performance guarantees.
  • Assist with vendor/administrator negotiation on renewals; maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs.
  • Collect experience data from varying resources for purposes of bids, trends, actuarial analysis and/or audits.
  • Prepares benefit documentation such as plan documents, summary plan descriptions, benefit agreements and contracts. Instructs vendors, trustees, and other administrative agencies outside the company to effect changes in employee benefit programs.
  • Ensures prompt and accurate compliance with applicable government regulations.
  • Complete benefit surveys and review information obtained from the results; analyze complex benefit information; forecast trends and assist with future benefit designs.
